Fresh off a trip to the far side of the world, I only wish I had been carrying one of these on my shoulder. Patagonia redefines small travel again with a new ultralight bag.
If you look up “a day pack you can pack that’s waterproof and ripstop”, I’m fairly certain Webster’s would show you a picture of Patagonia’s new Lightweight Travel Pack. The small satchel actually stuffs into itself and comes in colors (save starfruit) perfect for traveling in countries you wouldn’t want to stand out.
As usual, their new bag is priced high — $60 for something so small — but I don’t doubt for a New York minute it’s worth every penny.
Since we are typically carrying a few cameras, we prefer LowePro’s Orion Trekker. Separate padded compartment on the bottom, front-loading top compartment for the rest of the goodies. A great bag indeed.
