Enabling .htaccess on Apache on Mac OS X

Wednesday, August 11, 2010 around 10 pm mountain time

I’m working with a WordPress site on localhost and haven’t been able to get ‘pretty’ permalinks working until now. There’s a few configuration changes to http.conf (your /user/ copy) and, in some cases, adding Options +FollowSymLinks to your .htaccess file, but all in all, it’s a pain free process.
